I discovered Unchain Your Mind online, at a time when I was struggling with anxiety. I didn’t realise that I had anxiety or that was what it was called until I would speak to friends and family members about my thought process, the things that would play on my mind and how I would overthink about nearly every events or scenarios. I remember a friend of mine actually saying to me “it must be exhausting being you” and for the first time, it summed up how I was feeling. I realised that it had got out of control.
I was worrying about some much trivia that it was starting to get in the way of just enjoying life and was starting to get me down. I went to see Matt initially for a consultation to see whether hypnosis therapy could help me and it appeared that I would be susceptible to it. I found Matt to be professional and very patient. I had 4 sessions with Matt where he helped me to look at things in a different way and to almost move them from their current position in my mind to somewhere else – not necessarily at the forefront.
By talking and practicing different techniques things became a lot clearer. I began to feel a sense of freedom and genuine joy which I initially feared would be short-lived. I’m pleased to say has not been the case. I am now free to just get on with living my life, enjoying social events and spending time with friends and family without being over analytical over everything. My confidence has grown and I find I have more time to explore different avenues without that constant voice of doubt and fear. The dark cloud has lifted.
